Approximate fixed point theorems in generalized metric spaces

Abstract

In this paper, we prove approximate fixed point theorems for various types of contraction mappings in the framework of generalized metric spaces by introducing the concept of T-asymptotically regular mapping. Our results in this paper extends and improves upon, among others, the corresponding results of Berinde and Prasad et al.
